As you are likely aware, PhotoView for Roku channel no longer works. There was a plan for a major application update in 2025 but that was nixed due to Google API changes.

Previously Google’s Photo API allowed users to authorize access to all content in Google Photos. As of April, 2025 this changed.

The result, PhotoView can no longer access all Google Photos’ content in your library, EVEN with YOUR consent.

This channel is not, nor has ever been affiliated with Google, Inc. I’m just a home developer who loved the ability to display family photos on the TV.

The application, in it’s current form, is being shutdown. At some point I’d like to make something new but no word if/when that will happen. Thanks for all the support over the years! Until next time…
